Autonomous Warehouse Cart

2022

Designed a compact autonomous cart for a simulated warehouse environment as part of a final-year university team project.

The mechanical work covered the chassis, wheel mounts, battery tray, sensor brackets and protective enclosure. Load calculations and chassis FEA were used to verify stiffness and factor of safety.

Heat Exchanger
Performance Optimisation

Built a MATLAB model to estimate heat-transfer performance across changing flow rates and inlet temperatures, then compared analytical results with experimental data.

Graduate Manufacturing Engineer

Supported manufacturing process improvements, production documentation and quality investigations for low-volume industrial products.

Production processes

Assisted with CNC machining, sheet-metal and assembly improvements. Used time studies to identify bottlenecks and improve workstation layout.

Quality & engineering data

Worked with quality staff on non-conforming parts and corrective actions. Developed Excel and Power BI dashboards for scrap, rework, cycle time and output.

Documentation & supplier support
  • Created work instructions, process flow diagrams, inspection checklists and manufacturing documentation.
  • Participated in supplier reviews and incoming inspection of machined and fabricated components.
